Use the search tool to search and sign up for the waiting lists of licensed early learning and child care centres. Easily search centres by name, type, or location. Click centre icons on the map or scroll down to view the detailed list below. Sign up for the waiting lists that you are interested in and arrange to visit the centres in person. These visits will help you modify your registration list in your Account Management Area. Keep your list current with as many centres as possible that fit your family’s needs!

Prince Edward Island has four licensed child care options:
- An Early Childhood Centre is a licensed centre where the operator is authorized to provide services to infants, preschool children, and school-age children.
- An Early Years Centre is an Early Childhood Centre that meets a higher set of requirements and standards and is designated through the Department of Education, Early Learning and Culture.
- A Family Home Centre is a licensed centre located in a private residence, where the operator is authorized to provide services to no more than eight children, including the children of the operator.
- A Pre-school Centre is a licensed centre where the operator is authorized to provide services for less than four consecutive hours per day to children who are three years of age or over but not yet attending school.
- A School-Age Child Centre is a licensed centre where the operator is authorized to provide services to school-age children on weekdays during one or more of the following time periods: (i) before or after regular school hours, (ii) the school lunch period, (iii) regular school hours when schools close for the day.
